It’s still bloody freezing outside so I thought I’d fill your internet pages with a tasty warm weather treat – a secluded turquoise bay somewhere in Western Australia, where the sun is beaming and a rather attractive lady in not very much tops up her tan…HAPPY XMAS EVERYONE!

I’ve spent a lot of time of the last few weeks starting with the inevitable “this time last year” quote. So I thought I’d recap the highlights of my time in Oz one year on in a new feature called “From The Vault”.

Having just sold my van Leslie late last week I’ve been thinking back over the good times I’ve had roadtripping around Australia, and with another roadtrip a mere week away I’ve been trying to organise myself! So this week I’m bringing you my Top Ten Roadtrip Items …let the good times roll!

I’ve been in Australia for nearly 10 months now – and I can safely say I’ve enjoyed every minute of it (minus the hangovers of course!) but why Australia? What made me want to spend so much time in a place so far from home? So this week I’m bringing you my Top 10 Reasons I Came To Oz.
It’s taken nearly 6 months, but finally all the mosquito bite I incurred whilst campervanning the West Coast have healed up.
Yes you heared that right – 6 MONTHS!
Ok so you’ve spent a lot of time debating it over in your head, reading up on stuff and getting stoked off all the travel banter on the internet.

First of all *high five* on making one of the best decisions in your life – as you might be able to tell from my blog I’m pretty dam happy down under!
So now your scraping together the cash and trying to get everything in place. This is a massive undertaking and pretty daunting, especially if your travelling alone.
I’m currently feeding muchos advice to my mate Jimmy who’s heading out here in late June – and I thought the answers to all his questions might help you out a bit too, so I’ve typed up this feature article for you.
