Festival Guide; The Quiksilver Pro

3 03 2011

We’ve just started putting together our Festival Feature Guide, so I thought I’d start it off with something very topical at the moment;

It’s that time of the year again, where surfers all over the globe are glued to their computer screens, or for those in Australia they head to Snapper Rocks – that’s right, it’s the Quiksilver Pro!

Sunset Cooking, Morocco

This time next month I’ll be packing to head back to the sunkissed coast of Southern Morocco – so naturally I’ve been reminiscing about my previous visit a couple years ago by flicking through my pics! This image was shot at the Errant Surf Camp where I was staying and our local host cooked up an epic meal of BBQ fish under the warmth of an evening sunset…what better way to finish a day of beautiful surf?!

Xmas Shenanigans in Freezing Waters

26 12 2010

So as the snow melts outside my house I takes away the last remainders of crimbo with it – a lush time surrounded by family and festive fun, a far cry from Bondi beach last year – but an epic one all the same :)

Spray – The Pass @ Byron Bay

After muchos disorganization on my part and some reminding on Kez’s part Photo of The Week has returned! I thought another surf shot was appropriate as I’ve been out of the water for FAR too long for my liking and spend my days dreaming of the warm waters of Byron Bay. I swam out in some hefty shore break for this shot and took a pounding on the rocks at low tide – but it was worth it! An unknown grom lays some spray my way in the evening sun. Good Times

The Dave Diaries; Margaret River

30 11 2010

Looks like Dave has joined the team for a while and will be contributing quite a bit – so I decided he should have a running feature, so welcome to the “Dave Diaries”, ramblings from the Packman himself!
This weeks focus is the gem of the west coast – Margaret River.

Final Waves and Epic Farewells

19 09 2010

My last two days in Byron Bay have been as good as I could have hoped for. For starters the swell has served up some of the tastiest waves I’ve had for months. The last week has been pumping.

Surfing, Unemployment and Planning

17 09 2010

Todays been rather eventful, exciting, tiring and sad in equal measure – and for a mixture of reasons.

I’ll get the surf update out of the way – mainly because my blog is chock a block full of my surf related ramblings and also because I’m sure my brother only reads the intros to my posts….so I’ll get the jealousy in there before he switches off!
