Hey guys and girls – just thought I’d inform you about the lovely good bit of karma I’ve got on my travel blog.

Unknown Surfer, The Pass – Byron Bay.

Shot in the water at The Pass a few weeks ago – low tide and some dredging barrels; I have the scars on my knee to prove it when I got dragged over the rocks!  This little dude was tearing it up – tucking into some mini tubes and owning the place. He loved the camera too, the above is the result of him sending some spray my way!

Monkey Mia

So after a long drive we arrived at Shark Bay, a world heritage sight which contains oodles of lovely nature related things!

We were all shattered so after watching the sunset into the ocean we parked up for an overnight stop, about 30km south of Denhim.

The next morning we were up bright and breezy…these 8am starts are becoming worringly regular…and hit the road.

Nature Lookout

We rocked up to Kalbarri in the evening of Pink lake. Owing to laziness, and by no small means to our lack of funds we decided to camp up in the car park overlooking Chinamans Beach and a rather promising looking reef break. Busted out my BBQ skills on the free hot plates that frequent much of Australia’s coastline and bundled into bed for a well earned kip.

After an early morning swim at Cottesloe we headed back to Freemantle to post muchos letters and postcards and pay a visit to the didgeridoo shop.

Campervan Time

Well it’s finally time for one of the main part of my Oz trip – Campervaning up the West Coast of Australia :)

Now for those of you out of the loop on the dilemas this has caused (including the parentals who I’ve kept largely in the dark to prevent them panicking!) I shall list off the issues this particular month in my life has caused me so far!

So the main residents of Goon Room 121 departed yesterday….and what a mental night that was, summed up in a mash of random wordage is best me thinks;

Crystal Cascades

Bored of the daily grind of sleeping off hangovers, chilling in the sun by the pool, buying goon and getting drunk we decided to be productive today and go on another roadtrip.

13 of us hired a convoy of Getz’s……ok…..3 Getz’s……and hit the road up to Crystal Cascades…..a freshwater plunge pool……for a day of team bonding type antics!
