The last few days of my East Coast Tour have been spent just outside Noosa in Gagaju Canoe camp, where a 3 day, 2 night canoe tour of the Noosa Everglades was on the cards.
So this post contains a review of my time here, the pros and cons and a mini diary of what I got up too.

On The Road Again

Why I fell in Love with Noosa

So the 2010 Noosa Longboarding Festival is now all wrapped up; it’s lived up to the promised “8 days of pure stoke” that the organizers promised.

We’ve had cyclone warnings, pumping swells, thunderstorms, beaming sunshine, reeling point breaks and some of the best longboarders in the world doing what they do best – including the final of the Golden Breed Noserider challenge, with some serious tip time despite the not so perfect conditions on that day.

HOSTEL REVIEW: Noosa Caravan Park

Noosa is slightly limited campsite wise within a good proximity to the main surfing beaches and shops, but this site was about a 5-10min journey to First Point, but closer to the shops.

Noosa Festival – Finless Special

After leaving a rainy Fish Fry behind I hit the aptly named Sunshine Highway and finally set about reaching the destination I’ve craved since landing in Australia – Noosa Heads.

My love for Noosa – despite never being there before – is founded on photos and tales of epic point breaks, perfect for longboarding and with the backdrop of the national park and a quaint little town.
