REVIEW: Koala Whitsunday Tour

I’m tanned, my hair is salty, my camera packed full of pictures and my body is full of goon – I’ve just got back from a 3 day Whitsundays sailing trip with Koala Adventures!

Parrot Fish – Ningaloo Reef, WA

The above image was shot on Western Australias Ningaloo Reef. I was on a Manta snorkelling tour and decided to explore the reef with my underwater houring during a brief stop. Suddenly I found myself engulfed in a shoal of 200+ Parrot fish…being chased by 2 reef tip sharks! It was an awesome site but really disorientating at the same time – they were everywhere!

Coral Bay

Following the shinanigans of last night we made and mid morning mission up the coast to Coral Bay. The only detour of the day was to the Blowholes.

So after a long drive we arrived at Shark Bay, a world heritage sight which contains oodles of lovely nature related things!

We were all shattered so after watching the sunset into the ocean we parked up for an overnight stop, about 30km south of Denhim.

The next morning we were up bright and breezy…these 8am starts are becoming worringly regular…and hit the road.
