It’s that time of the year again, where surfers all over the globe are glued to their computer screens, or for those in Australia they head to Snapper Rocks – that’s right, it’s the Quiksilver Pro!

Quiksilver Pro – Semi Finals

After a less than adequate nights sleep (it was hot, then it was raining, then it got cold, then it heated up again….) I was awoken by my alarm to check the official Quiksilver Pro App on my iPhone (thanks Wavelength for the tip off!) to see if the Semi would be running.

As expected it was good news.

Unfortunately I’m in a rather odd place time wise.

Quiksilver Pro – FINAL

Part way through the Semi’s the official call to run the Final was made.

The beach was packed and greeted a stoked Jordy Smith as he headed back to the contestants area for a quick recovery before facing Taj in the final.

Quiksilver Pro – Quarter Finals

With the swell still rolling in, the tide dropping, the sun beating down and another round of the Roxy Pro finished the judges made the call to run the Quarter Finals of the Quiksilver Pro this afternoon.

It was much anticipated after the mornings upsets and the level of surfing was on top form.

Quiksilver Pro – Round 4

Round 4 of the Quikky kicked off today in the wake of yesterdays swell and action.

As hoped the swell kept coming and the round produced the kind of surfing that the Dream Tour expects.

Quiksilver Pro – Round 3

3 03 2010

The swell rolled in today for the third round of the Quiksilver Pro…the sun was out and Snapper Rocks was firing at its best since April ’09.

This meant the crowds were thick and the judges were expecting nothing but the best from the remaining pros tackling the 6-8foot waves.
